Bridge bearings sit between the deck and the pier or abutment. They transfer load from the superstructure into the substructure while letting the bridge move with thermal expansion, contraction, traffic, and seismic activity. Every bearing on a bridge does both jobs at once. Without them, those movements would be forced back into the deck as stress.

The main bridge bearing types we produce are elastomeric bearing pads, also known as neoprene bearing pads or rubber bearing pads, steel reinforced elastomeric bearing pads, POT PTFE bearings and bridge spherical bearings. Each is available in fixed and guided configurations, so a fixed bearing on a bridge and an expansion bearing can be supplied for the same span.

Yes. Our bearings comply with MORTH, IRC:83 and IRC:SP:69, and are tested and certified in NABL-accredited facilities. Ameenji was the first company in South India empanelled under MORTH for bridge bearings and expansion joints, covering elastomeric bearings and POT PTFE bearings.
