Ameenji Rubber Limited is a nationally and internationally recognised, RDSO-approved manufacturer of heavy-duty rubberized surface systems for railway infrastructure. Backed by decades of technical expertise, an ISO/IEC 17025 NABL-accredited in-house laboratory, and proven large-scale execution capability, Ameenji has successfully delivered safety-critical railway solutions across multiple Indian Railway zones.
One of the company’s most significant railway initiatives involved the design, manufacturing, testing, and bulk supply of Rubberised Level Crossing Pads, executed over two years for various Indian Railways offices. All supplies were delivered in strict compliance with RDSO Functional Specifications (July 2019).
These rubberised surface systems are installed at railway level crossings among the most sensitive interfaces between rail and road traffic, where safety, durability, and consistent performance are paramount under continuous mixed traffic and varying environmental conditions.
Railway level crossings represent a critical safety challenge due to constant interaction between heavy rail traffic and road vehicles. This project played a vital role in improving safety and operational reliability at these high-risk locations by replacing conventional crossing surfaces with engineered rubberised systems designed for long service life.
The successful execution of this multi-zone, bulk supply project reinforced Indian Railways’ objective of enhancing public safety, reducing maintenance intervention, and ensuring smoother road-rail interaction across the network. For Ameenji Rubber Limited, the project stands as a benchmark demonstration of its ability to execute national-scale railway safety programs with precision and consistency.
Ameenji Rubber Limited was responsible for the end-to-end execution of the project, including:
- Design and manufacturing of Rubberised Level Crossing Pads as per RDSO specifications
- Comprehensive in-house testing under NABL ISO/IEC 17025 standards
- Bulk supply management aligned with Indian Railways’ tight execution timelines
- Technical support for installation across multiple railway zones
- Ensuring batch-wise traceability, documentation, and compliance for railway inspections
The project demanded not only high manufacturing capacity but also disciplined processes, testing credibility, and logistics coordination at the national level.
